Lawyer, gestoría or notary, who does what
In Spain several authorised parties divide the work. We prepare administrative procedures, guide appointments and make the right introduction when a lawyer or tax specialist is needed.
Your NIE number sorted, even from your own country
Apply for your NIE number without travelling to Spain. We arrange the power of attorney, your file and the application. Costa Blanca, in your language.
Below we explain which party does what, so you know who you need and when.
The gestoría, for the paperwork
Administrative procedures include your NIE, empadronamiento and appointments with authorities. We prepare and guide these under the confirmed service. A qualified specialist performs the substantive review and filing of a tax return.
The lawyer, for the legal side
An abogado gives legal advice and checks contracts. You need one for a property purchase, an inheritance, a dispute or a residence procedure that is not standard. We are not a law firm and give no legal advice ourselves. Where it is needed we put you in touch with a lawyer who works for the buyer and speaks your language.
The notary, required by law for the deed
In Spain a notary is required for the transfer of the title deed. They are impartial and confirm that the transfer is legally sound. You do not pick one as a partner, they come with the purchase.
